Reuben Narad 363636f5eb Add web search tool (#2371 )

Adds web_search tool, enabling the model to use Responses API web_search
tool.
- Disabled by default, enabled by --search flag
- When --search is passed, exposes web_search_request function tool to
the model, which triggers user approval. When approved, the model can
use the web_search tool for the remainder of the turn

codex-core

This crate implements the business logic for Codex. It is designed to be used by the various Codex UIs written in Rust.

Dependencies

Note that codex-core makes some assumptions about certain helper utilities being available in the environment. Currently, this

macOS

Expects /usr/bin/sandbox-exec to be present.

Linux

Expects the binary containing codex-core to run the equivalent of codex debug landlock when arg0 is codex-linux-sandbox. See the codex-arg0 crate for details.

All Platforms

Expects the binary containing codex-core to simulate the virtual apply_patch CLI when arg1 is --codex-run-as-apply-patch. See the codex-arg0 crate for details.
